Workflow
The intended workflow with getting visitors into visitor tracking is:
- Add the user (and family members) to Lightpost (in the Admin section)
- Mark the user as a visitor (via a group or role)
- Add the visitor to Visitor Tracking
Important Notes
- Only users already added to Lightpost and marked as visitors can be added to Visitor Tracking
- You cannot add visitors or use Visitor Tracking via the mobile app (yet)
- You can only access Visitor Tracking via the web app: app.lightpost.app
- You can track an "individual" or a "family" as options in Visitor Tracking
- This is intended for situations such as: when a member of a family that attends your congregation does not attend, but you would like to reach out to them. They may be part of the "family unit" of the family that attends, but they themselves are a visitor and not a member of your congregation.
Adding a Visitor
After a user/family has been added to Lightpost and marked as a visitor, you can add them to Visitor Tracking one of two ways:
1. Directory in Visitor Tracking: app.lightpost.app/visitors
2. Via a shortcut on the user profile in the Admin section:
